This old quilt top came to me from a friend who recently moved away from Michigan. The story is that the quilt top had been in her family for five generations. I'll have to do some research on that. The top is made up o scrap half-square triangles. Each square is just over 2 inches. The quilt covers my queen size bed. How many different fabrics do you think the quilter used to make this beautiful quilt!
What a quilt should be. I love the use of light and dark to give this quilt a pattern. It's made up of tiny pieces but it's not a hodge-podge.
ReplyDeleteIf you finish this top with the antique wool batting, the completed quilt could be a Fall/Spring option for us. Hmmmmm.
