All Tied Up

This small quilt, made of scraps from other projects, is finished. The final task was to tie it. Today I will donate it to Northville Civic Concern and hope that it will keep someone warm this winter.

Quilt Top

All my units are now sewn into squares. It will be a completely different pattern from the tablecloth. It's fun to see how putting small pieces together in a different pattern forms a completely new look. Now to decide how wide to make the borders. Check out the previous post to see the difference!

Scrap Quilt

Using small units left over from an old project, I am now making a new project. The first became a table cloth. I enjoyed seeing the pattern of lights and darks come together. The new quilt starts with the same small unit: a rectangle and two squares. This time I am sewing them into squares first, some more dark and some more light. It will end in a completely different pattern. Hopefully there is enough fabric for a lap robe or even a twin-size quilt.
