Gathering the Stars

I had to put Mark's quilt aside for a while, but now it is my prime focus. After all the stars were made, each with a different fabric, it was time to sew them together. Each star got two dark sashing strips and a cornerstone. These were sewn in rows and then the rows sewn together to make the center of the quilt. Look carefully to see if all my corners match and all the star points showing. Now I will add three borders and the top will be complete.

Challenging Circles

The challenge was to make a quilt incorporating circles. Well, this quilt has circles, half-circles, and quarter-circles. It certainly was a challenge since I had never sewn curved seams before. Think of stitching a happy face to a frowny face! ) to ( It's not big enough to make a bed quilt, but it is a good lap robe.
